The Dutch (commercial) space industry makes an important contribution to the development of innovative hardware and applications for space flight data. Examples of this include navigation, telecommunications, solar panels and Earth observation technology (satellites, measuring instruments and data-processing) etc. The rapid development of nanotechnology, ultra sensitive sensors and very strong materials are central to this.
